Man electrocuted to death in Budgam, 4 others injured

Budgam: A village Lumbardar  was electrocuted to death in Mochan village of Beerwah in Budgam district on Tuesday while repairing an electric transformer in the area.

The deceased has been identifed as Shabir Ahmad Malik (25) son of Ghulam Mohammad of Mochan Beerwah.

Soon after receiving the electric shock Malik was evacuated to medical facility, SDH Beerwah. He was declared dead on arrival.

According to reports, Malik had informed the PDD about the work and to snap the power supply, however as he was working the electricity supply was restored injuring him fatally.
