Anantnag: Panic gripped KP road of Anantnag district, where a fidayeen attack took place last week,  on Friday after gunshots were heard in the area.

According to sources CRPF personnel deployed in the area fired aerial gunshots following two borne persons were asked to stop but did not.

The bike borne did not stop and jumped the naka, following which the forces fired in air.

Situation in the area in normal now.

Last week militants mounted a fidayeen attack on forces killing five CRPF personnel including two officers and Jammu and kashmir police officer was fatally injured in the attack.

One militant was killed in the firefight.

The cop later succumbed to his injuries in New Delhi.
