PULWAMA: The Construction of power receiving station in Aripal tehsil of Pulwama district has not been started even after the identification, demarcation of land and cutting of trees for the purpose.
Locals told INS that after the back to back requests from the people, a receiving station was sanctioned for Aripal tehsil and the land was also identified and demarcated near Yangwun area of the tehsil for its construction.
“A year has passed now but authorities are no where to start its construction,” residents said.
Meanwhile, an official from PDD has said that they have to cut some walnut trees near the spot, for which permission is awaited.
