Qazigund:  Protests erupted in Qazigung area of Anantnag district after an Army vehicle hit and injured a minor boy on Thursday. 

According to locals a 4-year old boy Muzammil Ahmad Wagay son of Ghulam Hassan Wagay a resident of Wuzur Qazigund was hit by an army vehicle, part of a convoy.

Youth took to streets sloganeering against Army and were demanding strict action against the erring army men, who fled from the spot.

A police officer said that the matter was resolved in consultation with public later.
