Ganderbal: A 42-year old man was killed by ligthening that struck bakura area of Ganderbal on Monday evening.

A police official confirmed the incident and identified the deceased as  Mohd Yousuf Mir son of Abdul Aziz Mir Resident of Bakura Shumma.

He said that he diedd on spot after lightening struck when he was working in paddy field.
