Pulwama gunfight: House blown up with explosives, three militants killed

Pulwama : Three militants have been killed in the gunfight that erupted in Panjran Litter area of Pulwama district on Thursday evening and ended only after forces blasted the house.

One militant, officials said, was killed in the initial exchange of gunfire.

“His associates were hiding in a residential house which was blasted later, ” he said adding that they recovered two bodies from the debris on Friday morning.

Identity of the killed militants is being ascertained.

Gunfight between the two sides broke out during cordon-and-search operation, that was launched by a joint team of Army’s 44 RR and SOG Lassipora.
