Anantnag: A cop was injured on Monday due to accidental fire in Kadipora area of Anantnag district in south Kashmir.

Identified as Nazir Ahmad, he is Special Police Officer with Jammu and Kashmir police.

“His rifle went off injuring him in chest. He was immediately  hospitalised,” official said.

Nazir was posted at SOG Camp in  Kadipora area of the district.
