Shopian gunfight: Civilian succumbs to injuries received in clashes, gunbattle continues

Shopian: A civilian injured during clashes in the Gagloora area of Shopian amid CASO launched by forces on Wednesday has succumbed to his injuries.

Locals sources identified the persosn Sajad Ahmad Parray from Badrahama Shopian.

One militants has also been killed in the gunfight so far.

The operation is under progress, officials said.

Police sources said that militants earlier escaped from residential house but shifted their positions.

“They were tracked hiding in a nearby tin shed in the orcahrds,” sources confided.

The operation is being conducted by  Army’s 44 Rr,23 para,Shopian police and Crpf.
