In over 70 years, Srinagar records highest July temperature at 37.4 degrees

Srinagar: Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar has been made a scandalous entry into the list tasked to conduct the audit performance of the city roads in Srinagar.

The official order issued in this behalf by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar mentions that name of one Official namely Showkat Ahmad Kawa as I/C Research Officer in the department of Designs, Inspections and Quality Control, J&K. However, on ground, the official is not holding any charge of the Research Officer.

The order has been issued by DC Srinagar on May 13, this year. More than 10 days have passed since the issuance of this order and no corrigendum has been issued till date.

Such gross irregularities have brought to fore the style of the functioning of the government departments.

Meanwhile, when asked about the order, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary while talking to The INS said that he will look into the matter.
