Pulwama: A gunfight broke out between government forces and militants in Dadsara area of Tral in this South Kashmir’s district.

Official sources said that a joint team of government forces comprising army’s 42 RR and police launched search operation in the area based on specific inputs about the presence of militants.

As the joint team approached towards suspected spot, they said, the militants hiding their fired upon the government forces, triggering off an encounter.

Meanwhile, the mobile internet services have been snapped in police Awantipora as part of the security precautionary during such operations.
