Poonch: Pakistan authorities on Friday handed over Poonch resident to Indian officials who had strayed into the other side of LOC five months back, officials said.

The person has been identified as 22-year old Ilyas Ahmed son of Mir Mohammad resident of Jhulas village of Poonch.

Officials said that that Ilyas was handed over to India Army at crossing point and they handed him over to Poonch police.

Ilyas went missing on December 11 last year and a missing report was lodged by his family members in a local police station.

“A video later surfaced showing Ilyas in a village on the other side of LOC in  Pakistan. Later his  his mother also made a passionate appeal to Pak authorities to release his son,” an official privy to development said.
