Gunfight breaks out in Shopian

Srinagar: A gunfight between militants and government forces started at Handew village of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Thursday.
A police official said that the joint team approached towards the suspected spot, the militants hiding there fired upon the forces, triggering off an encounter. The intermittent firing was going on when this report was filed.
