BASHARAT RASHID
Tral: Congress state president and candidate for Anantnag parliamentary seat Ghulam Ahmad Mir visited Tral area of South Kashmir and organised a rally there on Thursday.
Mir visited a far off area Satoora village in Aripal tehsil of Tral, addressed the people there, and asked them to vote for Congress to safeguard Article 35A, Article 370 and to see peace and prosperity in the state.
Talking to reporters, Mir said that people of Tral have been ignored on every front as “its Members of Legislature assembly (MLAs) have failed to represent them in assembly.”
“The legislators of Tral couldn’t speak a single word in assembly for the welfare of people. Congress party will ensure development here if it comes into the power,” Mir said.
He said that, he will try his best to implement the schemes and other programmes equally in Tral if he will win the seat.
In reply to a question regarding two-day highway closure, Mir said that, “If congress will come into the power, it will end all the advisories here, which have been put in place for public inconveniences including highway closure.”
He was accompanied by General secretary of the party S. Chani Singh, Former MLA Sopore Ab Rashid, Chairman Municipal committee Anantnag Hilal Shah, Congress Leader Ghulam Mohammad Mir and others.
