Only stranded traffic to be allowed on highway tomorrow

Srinagar: No fresh traffic shall be allowed tomorrow on Srinagar-Jammu highway, authorities said on Sunday.
“Only stranded vehicles shall be allowed towards Srinagar,” a traffic department official said here in a statement issued here.
He said only one-way traffic shall be allowed on Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari Road, opened after four months today. “Only LMV shall be allowed from Sonamarg towards Minimarg from 0900 hours to 1300 hours,” he said, adding, “No vehicle shall be allowed after cut of timings.”
He said that the commuters are advised not to travel during night hours. “No movement of any type of vehicle shall be allowed from opposite direction,” he said, adding, “People are advised to undertake journey on highway only after confirming status of the road.”
