Weatherman forecasts rains for 3 days from Wednesday

Srinagar: Weatherman on Sunday forecast light to moderate rain and thunderstorms over the state of Jammu and Kashmir from morning of Wednesday to April 27.
“Light to moderate rain/thunder spell from 24th April (morning) to 27th April,” said a meteorological department official here.
He said that Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of 9.4 degrees Celsius last night against 8.9 degrees Celsius normal for this time of the season. This summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir also witness above normal temperature of 21.1 degrees Celsius during this time of the year and yesterday it had maximum of 25.5 degrees Celsius.
The official said that Qazigund, the gateway town of Kashmir recorded a low of 8.0 degrees Celsius while the mercury in Kokernag town in south Kashmir settled at a low of 9.4 degrees Celsius while Kupwara town in north Kashmir registered a minimum of 6.1 degrees Celsius. Gulmarg, the world famous ski-resort in north Kashmir, witnessed a low of 5.0 degrees Celsius while the famous health resort of Pahalgam recorded a minimum of 4.7 degrees Celsius.
