10.03% voting in first 3 hours of polling in Kupwara

Kupwara: Over 10 percent voting was registered till 10 a.m. in Kupwara district of north Kashmir on Thursday.
Spreading over five Assembly Constituencies, a total of 44263 people among 441086 voters cast their votes from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., the officials said.
According to officials, among 37181 registered electors in Karnah, 4020 of them cast their vote during the first three hours of the polling amid heightened security measures.
In Kupwara Assembly constituency with 117538 electors, 13380 votes were cast; among 111559 electors in Lolab, 8754 votes were cast while in Handwara were 98609 people are entitled to vote, 11723 voters cast votes while in Langate, 6386 electors among 76199 voters turned up to cast their vote at the polling booths.
“Among 441086 voters overall, 44263 votes (10.03%) were cast from 7 to 10 a.m.,” the officials said.
