Medicine supply including of SKIMS recovered from Bandipora medical shop, sealed, inquiry launched

Srinagar: Meant to be distributed among patients free, Government medicine supply of SKIMS Soura hospital worth lacs were recovered from a medical shop in Bandipora. Officials raided a medical shop in Chitteybandy area of Bandipora district.

They said that Drug Inspector along with a team of officials on today raided medical shop of One Zahoor Ahmad Malla Son of Mohd. Ramzan Malla Resident of Chitteybandy.

“During the raid they retrieved huge quantity of medicines included Glanstill Injection of SKIMS Supply, NS Gulcose- JKMSCL Supply, Triglon Injection-SKIMS Supply, Ceftriaxone Injection-JKMSCL Supply, Infusion set-SKIMS Supply, Cetrizine Tablets-JKMSCL Supply, Compound sodium lactat Injection-JKMSCL supply, Rolled Bandage-Hospital Supply, Dextrose-JKMSCL supply, Axapara Injection- SKIMS, Medroxy progesto injection-Free supply under Antara Programme of Govt of India,” officials said.

According to officials the medicines retrieved is worth lacs of rupees and is hospital supply meant to be distributed among poor patients. Bilal Ahmad Rather, Drug inspector Bandipora, confirmed the raid and recovery and said that huge quantity of antibiotics, Contraceptive injections and other medicines meant for free supply have been recovered.

The medical shop has bee sealed and an inquiry has been initiated to ascertain as to how the SKIMS hospital supply meant for the needy patients in the hospital reached the north Kashmir’s district bandipora.
