Shah was quoted by The Quint saying that abrogating Article 35A has been in BJP manifesto since 1950. “It is our commitment to the people of the country.”

Shah while speaking at the at the News18 Agenda India Summit said that abrogation has not happened as BJP doesn’t  have a majority in Rajya Sabha.

“I believe it will happen by 2020,” he said.

He claimed that BJP has been able to curb militant funding and “radicalisation”.
