‘Aqua Nice’, ‘Mc Dowell’s No. 1 Platinum’ packaged drinking water unsafe: FSA

Jammu: The Food Safety Authorities of J&K has declared the two packaged drinking water brands being sold in the market under the brand names “AQUA NICE” and “Mc Dowell’s No. 1 Platinum” as unsafe for human consumption and urged all the stakeholders to stop sale and supply of such articles immediately and recalling the additional stock from the market. In a communication, the Commissioner, Food Safety J&K, Dr. Abdul Kabir has informed that the samples of these articles were lifted and found unsafe and misbranded by Public Health Laboratory, Jammu. He has further called upon the stakeholders who are in possession of any stock of said food product (s) to inform the local empowered authorities (Designated officer Food Safety) about the stock position of above products and recalling the same from the market.
