Farooq Abdullah files nomination papers for Srinagar-Budgam parliamentary constituency

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference president Farooq Abdullah filed his nomination papers for upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the state.

He will be contesting polls from Srinagar-Budgam parliamentary constituency.

Abdullah filed the papers at Deputy Commissioners office in Srinagar.

Others who are in the fray in include Peoples Democratic Party’s Agha Mohsin and Peoples Conference candidate Irfan Ansari.

In 2017 bypolls, Abdullah won the elections for the parliamentary seat. The polls witnessed a record low voter turn out of 7 per cent  and witnessed intense protests that led to the killing of eight people.
