Bijbehara: Clashes erupted between protesters and government forces amid cordon and search operation in Arwani  area of Bijbehara in South Kashmir.

Locals claimed that as the searches were intensified in the area, youth took to streets and pelted stones on government forces.

“They retaliated by firing tear smoke shells to disperse protesters,” locals claimed.

Earlier CASO was launched in area over ‘specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area’.
