Srinagar:  Enforcement Directorate has penalised Syed Ali Geelani and will be imposing same on JKLF chairman Yasin Malik, reports said on Friday.

According to reports Geelani has been penalised of Rs 14.40 lakh for illegally possessing  foreign exchange of 10,000 US Dollars.

The amount has been confiscated, they said.

The penalty will be imposed on Yasin Malik as well for the same and the adjudication proceedings against him have already begun.
