Srinagar:  Day after the highway was shut following landslides on the strategic highway, Traffic authorities reopened the stretch for vehicular movement.

Traffic police officials said that vehicular movement from Srinagar to Jammu only will be allowed.

The road was closed down after a landslides blocked the road yesterday in Banihal area. Road clearance operation was launched by the authorities to remove the blockage.

The officials also said that following fresh snowfall on Srinagar-Leh Highway, men and machinery are clearing the road from both sides of Zojila pass.
“Mughal road, however remains closed since December last year due to snow accumulation,” he said.
