Revenue officers to be equipped with all required facilities: DC Srinagar

Srinagar: Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Tuesday said Revenue officers in the district will be equipped with all necessary and required facilities to enable hassle-free and comfortable execution of their important services.

The DC said this while convening a meeting of Revenue officers of the district to discuss the functioning of the department and requirements of concerned officers provision of which will enable due execution of their jobs.

He said the department is amongst the most important ones and that it must be equipped with all required facilities for smooth functioning.

He said Patwarkhanas among other concerned offices will be fully equipped with facilities to enable concerned officers to function smoothly and to their fullest potential.

Dr Shahid asked all Tehsildars to submit details of requirements at all their offices, assuring them of quickest possible equipment thereof with all necessary facilities.

He said various different initiatives aimed at strengthening and streamlining the functioning of the department are in the pipeline adding that programmes for capacity building of the field staff of the department among other initiatives will also be held as part thereof.

The meeting also discussed the functioning of the department. The DC asked the officers to be prompt in disposing off cases while ensuring thoroughly professional mode of working.

He also instructed that Patwaris must ensure availability at their designated offices at least twice a week from 10 am to 4 pm.

Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, Patwaris among other officers and officials of Revenue department attended the meeting.
