Srinagar: Traffic police authorities have allowed one-way traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar highway on Saturday and trucks carrying essentials are on their way to Kashmir.

An official at the traffic police department said that both heavy and light vehicles, including trucks carrying essential supplies for the Kashmir Valley are being allowed to move from Jammu to Srinagar today.

The highway is the only road connectivity of the mountain locked valley with the rest of the world. The road was frequently shut as landslides and shooting stone incidents blocked the vehicular movement.
