Ganderbal: Residents of Shumma area of Ganderbal are irket over the callous approach of PDD over using trees as electric poles.
“Fire can break out any time and at times of winds it’s life threatening,” they said.
According to locals funds for erecting poles have been drawn but what happened to them remains unknown.
“Recently a cow died after a electric supply line fell on her,” they said.
EXN PDD Ganderbal Khursheed Ahmad blamed his predecessors for fixing electric wires on trees.
“Since things have been brought into my notice, I will look into the problem. Will redress it soon,” Ahmad said.
