Jammu:  A woman has been killed after the Chajla area of Mendhar in Poonch district after it was hit by shelling that has been going across the line of Control .

Officials identified the woman as  Amin Akhter D/O Mohd Sadiq R/O chaijla MDR died, age 32 years.

India and Paksitan armies exchanged gunfire along the line of control and officials claim that pakistan resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation in the area.

The fire was retaliated effectively, officials said.
