Budgam: 
Police claimed that it has recovered four charred bodies from the spot where Indian Air Force (IAF) jet had crashed in Gariend Kalan village of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Reports said that locals are claiming one among the retrieved bodies is of Kifayat Ahmad Ganaie (30) son of Mohammad Ramzan Ganie. Police however had denied any identification till now.
” We have retrieved four charred bodies and none among them has been identified yet,” a top police official told IINS.
He said postmortem is yet to be done and the police is ascertaining the identities of the recovered bodies.

When asked about the death of civilan Kifayat Ahmad, he replied “It is the apprehension of people and we cannot say anything till the identity is confirmed.”

Earlier two Pilots were reported to have died in the crash.
