NIA carries raids at Mirwaiz’s residence at Nigeen

Srinagar: National Investigation Agency on Tuesday raided the residence of Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, hours after similar raid was carried at the residence of jailed JKLF chairman Yasin Malik in Maisuma here.
Reports said NIA sleuths assisted by the police raided the Nigeen residence of Mirwaiz on Tuesday morning and were carrying out searches when last reports came.
The raids coincide with India’s claims of carrying air strikes inside Pakistan administered Kashmir. The Pakistan however claimed that the attacks were repulsed and Indian military planes dropped payload in haste.
