Srinagar: The authorities have reduced mobile internet speed in Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir Valley.
Local residents said that mobile internet speed has been reduced to 2g level, causing troubles to them.
No reasons have been attributed officially for reducing the internet speed at a time when government of India has rushed more troops, 100 companies of paramilitary forces, and carried out a sweeping crackdown on the Jamaat-e-Islami leadership while authorities here cancelled leave to doctors, asked hospitals to stock medicines, ordered the rationing of fuel besides asked residents to keep enough stocks of ration and other essentials.
The slew of orders triggered panic in the Kashmir Valley as people rushed to stores and petrol pumps to hoard food grains, fuel and medicine on Saturday.
