Srinagar: Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday said that the continous hounding of Kashmiris outside valley is forcing people to think that was Two Nation theory the right decision. 

“Kashmiri boys and girls are being hounded in a well hatched conspiracy and the situation is such that it has forced people to ponder as to was the two nation theory the right decision,” Abdullah said, while referring to rejection of colleges to not admit Kashmiris.

He said that hotels have put placards saying that while all else will be allowed to stay except Kashmiris.

Abdullah asked to why it was all being perpetrated and as why Kashmiris are being singled out to be targeted while government has maintained a ‘criminal silence’.

“Are Kashmiris being targeted for being from a region which is India’s only muslim majority state,” Abdullah said.

Abdullah urged governor J&K Satya Pal Malik to create arrangements for students who have left studies and have returned home.

“They should be accommodated in some colleges, universities so that their career is not hurt,” he said, adding that until situation improves.

He said that ‘alienation among Kashmiris’ will only increase with the situation that has unfolded in India.

“If those youngsters who have been forced to leave their studies and have returned if they join stone throwing who will be responsible for that,” he said.
