Northern Army Commander Reviews Security, Visits Injured Soldiers In Valley

Srinagar: The Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Ranbir Singh arrived in Srinagar on Wednesday for a two day visit to review the prevailing security situation post the recent encounters with militants.
“The Army Commander accompanied by the Chinar Corps Commander Lt Gen KJS Dhillon, also visited the 92 Base Hospital in Badami Bagh Cantonment, Srinagar, where he enquired about the health of the recuperating soldiers injured in the recent operations”, a defence ministry spokesman said.
He wished them all a speedy recovery, he added. “The Army commander complimented the commanders and troops for their exceptional courage and excellent professional conduct. Appreciating the excellent work and vital critical care being provided by the doctors and support staff of 92 Base Hospital he commended them for being the lifeline of the Valley.”
Later the Army Commander was given an update by the Chinar Corps Commander on operational and administrative aspects, he said. “He was very appreciative of the valour and professionalism of the government Forces operating in Kashmir.”
