Multiple Funerals Held For Slain JeM Militant, Civilian Killed In Pulwama Gunfight

Pulwama: Thousands of people participated in the funeral prayers of JeM militant and a civilian, killed in an encounter in their native village, Pinglena, in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Reports reaching INS said that multiple rounds of funeral were held in Pinglena for both JeM militant Hilal Ahmad and the civilian Mushtaq Ahmad.

Mushtaq Ahmad was laid rest in ancestral graveyard and nearly an hour later, slain JeM militant Hilal was laid to rest in Pinglene village.

Three JeM militants including Hilal Ahmad were Killed along with 4 army soldiers, one of them a Major, and policeman Abdul Rashid.

DIG South Kashmir, Brigaider 12 sector RR, Lt Colonel were among nine government forces personnel injured in the gun fight.
