Srinagar: Kashmiri civil secretariat employees on Monday have told government that they will be going back to Valley as they feel threatened in the region and only when situation returns to normalcy they will come back offices.
President Civil Secretariat Employees Union Ghulam Rasool Mir said that they have communicated same to government that either they provide us with transportation with security protocol or they leave themselves.
“We have told them if in two days we are not provided with transportation we will begin moving back to home along with our families,” Mir said, adding that if any thing untoward happens to us in the meantime authorities will be responsible for it.
“We had a meeting with Chief Secretary and we have put our demands. We will be leaving in two days from now,” he said.
Employees quarters was attacked by arsonists and tried to set them ablaze.
