Jammu violence: Lal chowk shuts, traders protest

The shopkeepers association of commercial hub Lal Chowk on Saturday staged a protest against the ‘attack’ on Kashmiris outside State following the Lethpora attack on Thursday that left over 40 CRPF men dead and several others wounded.

The association had called for a protest strike from 03:00 pm today following which all the shops amd business establishments are closed.

The association also staged a protest against the ‘attack’on Kashmiris, chanting slogans in favour of Kashmiris and against the government for failing to ensure the safety of Kashmiris outside the Valley.

They demanded the government to take immediate and necessary steps to ensure safety of Kashmiris outside Valley.
