Pulwama attack: Curfew imposed in Gujjar nagar following violent protests

Srinagar: Curfew has been imposed in Gujjar Nagar area of Jammu city following violent protests and torching of almost hundred vehicles in the area.

The protests erupted amid shutdown in Jammu against the Pulwama militant attack that left 49 CRPF personnel dead and several others injured.

Following the violence the authorities imposed curfew in the area.

Eye witnesses said that protesters turned violent and torched vehicles on the roads and setting some of them to fire.

The Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry had called for a shutdown in Jammu while Jammu Bar Association supported it.

Forces in large number have been deployed in the area.
