Fake Bail: Kashmir Bar Association Suspends One Among 2 Accused Lawyers

Srinagar: Kashmir High Court Bar Association on Monday decided to suspend of the two lawyers, accused of fabricating a bail order to facilitate the release of three car theft accused persons.
In a statement issued here, the lawyers’ body also decided not to allow the other Advocate to avail any of the facilities of the Bar Association, in any manner whatsoever.
Last week, Police arrested the two lawyers on charges of making fake bail order of J&K High Court to secure release of three persons, accused in car theft case, in 2017.
The arrest was made on an FIR registered on a complaint filed by the Registrar Judicial of the High Court in 2017 in police station Shaheed Gunj Srinagar. Acting on a complaint, the police filed a case under FIR number 83/2017 under section 420, 467, 468, 471 RPC.
After conducting a thorough investigation into it, the police arrested two advocates Aamir Masoodi of Allochibagh and Mousavir Ahmad Mir of Bomai, Segipora, Baramulla.
“Taking a strong notice of the events which have led to (their) arrest, it was decided to suspend one of them namely advocate Aamir Masoodi from the basic membership of the Bar Association till the outcome of the criminal case registered against him,” said the lawyers’ body in a statement issued here.
The Bar Association, it said, also decided not to allow the other Advocate namely Musavir Ahmad Mir, who is not a member of the Bar Association, not to avail any of the facilities of the Bar Association, in any manner whatsoever.
