7 Family members rescued from snow avalanche in Budgam

Budgam: Amid heavy snow fall continuing in the valley for second consecutive day, seven members of a family had a narrow escape when a snow avalanche hit the Zogiyar village of upper Kokarbagh in Khag Tehsil of the district.

Reports said that the 7 families of the area were were rescued safely.

“They have been shifted to other place safely,” reports said.

The district administration has also asked the people of neighbouring Shunglipora, Sugan and Sutharan areas to remain vigilant as the villages fall in avalanche prone zones.
