Earthquake jolts Kashmir, triggers panic

Srinagar: An earthquake struck Kashmir on Tuesday night but there were no reports of any damage, an official said. The quake occurred tonight at 10:18 PM and lasted for nearly a minute, an official said. The epicentre of the quake was at a depth of 40 kilometres in northwestern Kashmir, 118 kilometres from Srinagar, the officials said. There were no reports of any loss of life or damage to property so far, the official said.
