Ganderbal: A huge walnut tree was cut down in front of revenue office in Safapora area of the district Ganderbal, however officials are feigning ignorance as the incident took place on a ‘holiday’.

The tree according to revenue officials was cut down on Sunday and they will look into the matter as to who are the culprits behind the happening.

Walnut tree, they said, if needs to be cut must be sough permission for the same.

“The tree was cut in front of Naib Tehsildar’s office and in broad day light and they seem not to care of this lawlessness,” a local alleged.
Tehsildar Lar Mohammad Ramzan said that the walnut tree was cut without permission and on a Holiday.
“The logs of the walnut tree have been siezed and investigation is going on. Soon the culprits will be taken to task,” he said
