Kulgam: Clashes erupted amid Cordon and search operation at Tarigam village of south Kashmir’s Kulgam District.

Reports sqid that youth hit the streets as soon as troops launched a joint operation in the area.

 

Shouting pro freedom and pro militancy slogans, scores of youth hit the streets and threw stones on government forces

The troops fired tear smoke shells to disperse the protesting youth, they said.

Earlier following a specific input about militants movement, the government forces jointly launched a cordon and search operation in the Tarigam area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

Forces including RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir police sealed all the entry and exit points to the Tarigam area.
