Anantnag: A man who was rescued in critical condition from under the snow mass near Gudkhamb point on Pahalgam -Aru road has succumbed to his injuries, taking the death toll to three.

Official sources said that during snow clearance on Pahalgam -Aru road, the JCB with three persons on board it came under an avalanche near Gudkhamb point.

One among them, Javaid Ahmad sheikh son of Mohammad Shaban Sheikh of Frislan Pahalgam was found critically injured and admitted to district hospital Anantnag, sources said. however, Javaid succumbed to injuries.

The rescuers have also found bodies of two missing persons and one of them has been identified as Ilyas Ahmad son of Abdul Gani of Midoora Tral in Pulwama district.
