PULWAMA : Amid heavy snowfall and chill, Non-Gazetted Forest employees on Thursday staged a protest demonstration in Awantipora area of Pulwama in support of their long pending demands.
Under the banner of “Non-gazetted forest employees association”, scores of Non-Gazetted employees assembled at Town hall in Awantipora and staged protest.
Raising slogans, the employees urged the authorities, particularly the governor of Jammu and Kashmir Satya Pal Malik, to fulfill the genuine demands of Forest employees of state without any further delay.
As per the forest official, the main demands include release of two and half days extra salary in favour of Forest frontline employees, risk allowance, conducting DPCs of all cadres and reorganization of the department.
Besides, they demanded regularization, release of wages in respect of daily wagers, CAMPA casual labours and need based, seasonal labours and consolidated employees of the department.
