ECI extends date for publication of electoral rolls to Feb 7

Jammu: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has extended the date for final publication of Electoral Rolls in Jammu and Kashmir to 7 February 2019.
According to Chief Electoral Officer, J&K, Shailendra Kumar, his office is in the process of informing all the political parties about the extension of date for the final publication of the Electoral Rolls, which is a constitutional requirement.
On inquiring about the enrollment of new voters and updations, Kumar said it is a continuous process and new voters can get enrolled anytime online on www.nvsp.in or download ‘Voter Helpline’ App from Google Play Store. He said voters can also get information on Universal Voter Helpline ‘1950’.
