Jammu: India and Pakistan armies traded gunfire along Line Of Control in Mankote area of Mendhar in Poonch district on Saturday.
Officials claimed that the exchange of fire erupted at around 11:10 am after ‘Pakistan resorted to ceasefire violations’.
“The fire was retaliated effectively,” he said.
He also claimed that heavy mortar shelling is going on in the area from both sides.
