JK Cooperative Societies bag NCDC awards

Jammu: National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) today conferred awards upon two Cooperative Societies of the J&K State for their excellent performance in the Cooperative sector.
The distribution of awards to the Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies selected by the NCDC was made by Secretary Cooperative and Tribal Affairs Departments, Abdul Majid Bhat in presence of Registrar Cooperative Societies, M. M. Rehman Ghasi and Regional Director NCDC Anirudh Singh apart from other senior functionaries of the Department.
Managing Director NCDC, Sandeep Naik was also present on the occasion.
While speaking on the occasion, Secretary Cooperative complimented the Cooperative Societies for their excellent performance.He laid emphasis on value addition of services by Cooperative Societies. He further desired for organizing exposure visits of the representatives of the awardee Cooperative Societies to Anand Gujarat apart from nominees of other Cooperative Societies on the initiatives of NCDC.
During his address, Regional Director NCDC said that the presentation of awards has the objective to promote a sense of competitiveness among the Cooperatives. He also presented an over-view of the schemes of NCDC and said that NCDC is always trying to help the Cooperative Societies of the State by way of its schemes which have lucrative subsidy as an essential component.
Registrar Cooperative Societies expressed his thanks for organizing an impressive programme within a short notice. He desired to hold a detailed meeting with NCDC authorities for further tapping the potential of NCDC schemes. He emphasized the need for providing training to the Cooperators and officials of the State, by NCDC.
