Modi to visit Kashmir, Leh besides Jammu on Feb 3

Srinagar: Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi will be visiting Kashmir as well as Ladakh besides Jammu on his day visit to the state on February 3, official sources said on Sunday.
Modi will address newly elected Sarpanchs and Panchs of Kashmir at Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC) here while he will lay foundation stone of multiple projects of three regions via e-mode from Vijaypur in Samba district of Jammu.
Sources said that Modi’s itinerary has been revised as he was earlier scheduled to visit Jammu only. Instead, they said, Modi will reach Leh directly from New Delhi and lay foundation stone of Ladakh University, recently approved by the state administrative council headed by governor Satya Pal Malik. Besides he will lay foundation stone for extension of Airport in Leh, they said.
He will also address a gathering at Leh during foundation stone laying ceremony of the firest ever University and extension of Leh Airport.
Thereafter, the Modi is scheduled to reach Vijaypur in Samba district where he is scheduled to lay foundation stone of multiple projects through e-mode and address rally.
Later in the afternoon, Modi will proceed to Srinagar, where he will address newly elected Sarpanchs and Panchs of the Kashmir valley at SKICC Srinagar.
