Srinagar: Jammu region has got five times share in developmental projects, proposed to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his forthcoming visit to Jammu and Kashmir from February 03.
Modi is scheduled to visit Jammu, Kashmir and Leh during which he will lay foundation stone of various projects and inaugurate several projects worth crores of rupees.
Modi, as per reports, will lay the foundation stone for AIIMS, IIM, IIT, Jammu-Akhnoor road, Shahpur-Kandi road, Sunderbani college and IIMC in Jammu during his visit.
However, the Jammu region has got lion’s share in the projects with BJP general secretary Ram Madhav claiming that the PM will inaugurate and lay foundation stone of projects worth Rs 35,000 crore in Jammu region.
Nonetheless, the projects worth only Rs 9,000 are approved for Kashmir region, Madhav claimed.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jammu and Kashmir on February 3 to lay the foundation stone for and inaugurate various projects in all three regions of the state, BJP general secretary Ram Madhav had said.
