Jammu: A civilian has been injured in cross LOC exchange of gunfire that erupted in the Pukharni area of Nowshehra Sector in Jammu division of the state on Thursday.

According to officials intense mortar shelling is going on in the area. 

The injured has been identified as Mohammad Reyaz S/O Wazir Mohammad of Pukharni, and has been injured in face.

“He has received multiple splinter injuries in face,” officials said.

India and Pakistan armies traded gunfire along LOC in Pukharni forward area Lam in Nowshera sector at around 01:20 PM. (KNO)
