Jammu: Director General of Police Dilbag Singh has rewarded Constable of BSF for his “alertness and quick reaction” to militants attack on January 7.
“Constable/GD Irshad Ahmad showed his alertness while on duty averted a major tragedy by his quick reaction to militants’ attack on January 7,” a police spokesman said in a statement here.
The DGP accorded sanction to cash reward and commendation certificate class-I in his favour in recognition to his brave act, the spokesman added. However, there was no mention in the police statement as regards the place where the attack was averted.
